40 savage model 29 parts diagram

Hello to all, Trying to get a buddy's grandpas gun going again. It is a Premier Trailblazer 22 pump, octagon barrel. From what I have found on the net, it is really a Savage 29, not 29a. I believe that a Stevens 29 and 75 are alos the same rifle. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a lifter spring and maybe exploded parts diagram ... 9 years ago. Follow. Most parts can be bought directly from the Savage Arms Parts Department at 413-568-7001 between 9:00am and 4:15pm EST. There are certain parts that are restricted that will not be sold. Please contact the parts department to verify the part you want to order is available to purchase. Also, the model 29 receiver was used to produce Savage & Stevens and other contracted 'house brand rifles'. The 'L' suffix on your serial # indicates your model 29 is a Savage , not a Stevens or 'house brand model 29. The model 29 post WW II serial #s went from 4x,xxx to 5x,xxx and then the serial #s went to an 'Alpha code'. The installation of any part in the model firearm for which it is designed requires careful fitting to insure proper performance. Careless or improper fitting may affect the operation of the firearm to a point where possible injury to the user may result. All replacement parts must be fitted by a qualified gunsmith using the necessary gauges.
